Your Role
In your role as Technical Manager you are an important link between the office, our engineers, our corporate engineers, our suppliers, our customers and the company management. In this dynamic and expert position, you will be working from our headquarters in Arnhem, but frequent traveling to the ships is part of the job. You will be part of a well skilled, professional, and enthusiastic team. You report to the head of the technical department.
Your Tasks
- Handle and monitor technical requests, orders, and planning by means of an automated ticket system.
- Accurate administration of service and maintenance requests, purchase orders, service visits, damage reports and warranty issues.
- Check and approve purchase orders, invoices, and technical contracts.
- First line contact and support for allocated corporate engineers and on-board engineers. Back-up function for other ships (other Technical Managers).
- Indicate, prepare, organize, plan and monitor winter works as well and maintenance.
- Execute board visits to supply support to the engineers and check on status of the ships from a technical perspective.
- Prepare request for quotations for machinery, revisions and materials and subcontractor activities.
- Regular visits to ships for guidance, support, and control activities.
- Support and contribution during training weeks/kick-off.
- Execute EOS (End of Season checks) and BOS (Begin of Season) start-up.
- Duty for service phone, approximately once per 6-8 weeks for one week.
